Team CAF Wildflower
Avia Wildflower Triathlons
May 1-3, 2009
Here’s your chance to race with standout challenged athletes Sarah Reinertsen, the first female to finish the Ford Ironman World Championship on a prosthetic leg, 6-time Iron-distance race finisher “One-Arm Willie” Stewart, Two-time swimming Paralympic gold medalist and world record holder and bilateral above-knee amputee, Rudy Garcia-Tolson, and many other talented and courageous athletes as part of the second-annual Team CAF Wildflower. These amazing challenged athletes will lead and inspire you, creating a one-of-a-kind Wildflower experience. By joining this program, you become part a team motivated by the heart and abilities of your challenged teammates … A team with access to a custom Wildflower training program by Hypercat Racing and plenty of VIP benefits (listed below) … A team that literally “changes lives” by raising funds for the Challenged Athletes Foundation. The best part: anyone can join the team.
Members of Team CAF Wildflower will receive:
· A Wildflower Long Course or Olympic distance race entry
· A custom Wildflower online training program by Hypercat Racing (www.hypercatracing.com)
· A custom CAF triathlon race uniform
· A chance to race with challenged athletes
· Motivational emails leading into the event
· A team photo of the 2009 Team CAF Wildflower group
· Special recognition on stage during CAF’s Race For A Reason clinic
· Inspirational campfire pep talks from participating challenged athletes
The funds you raise will enable CAF to help grant a $2,500 handcycle to a child born with Spina Bifida, underwrite a carbon fiber running foot for an athlete that wants run their first 10 K or provide specialized training for an injured military service member to participate in their sport. Through your support, CAF is changing lives, one athlete at a time!
So how can you be a part of this team and help make a difference in the lives of physically challenged athletes? It’s easy – just commit to raising $500 for CAF by April 27. The weekend will be unforgettable and the funds you raise will help pay for specialized equipment, training and coaching expenses for deserving physically challenged athletes around the world. It’s a win-win for all. (Already racing, but want to join the fun? Raise $350 by April 27th and you’re on the team!)
We hope you’ll join Sarah, Willie and Rudy at the starting line of the Avia Wildflower Triathlons on May 1-3. Remember, without your support, many challenged athletes would never make it there.
